Sunday, 13 May 2012 Baldface Knob, South Baldface, North Baldface, Eagle Crag
Today I joined a Meetup group for a circuit of the Baldfaces. Four of us set out at around 8:25 from the car park: Diane (she runs the Meetup), Bert, Nancy, and me. We went up the Slippery Brook trail to avoid the harder ledges on South Baldface. We were a slow group going up Slippery Brook; then Diane and Bert decided that they would just go at their pace as far as they could and sent Nancy and me along at our pace. At the junction we took the Eastman Mountain trail over Baldface Knob and picked up the Baldface Circle trail which we followed the rest of the way. Clouds thickened and we got sprinkled on a little bit as we descended from Eagle Crag. I didn't see real rain until I was tucked into my car cruising home on Rt 113.
